The Arabian stallion of today must possess rare quality to follow in the footsteps of those from years past.  In April of 2004 on a small farm in Southwest Missouri, a very special foal was born.  Nader al Jamal would be one of only a handful of Ansata Sinan sons ever born in the United States.  The second foal of Joe and Gail Mailloux’s grand show filly turned broodmare, Savannah CC, Nader would trace in tail female to Maysa through the incomparable Bint Magidaa.

In his first year, Nader was captured by world reknowned photographer Jerry Sparagowski in a photograph that has hence been coined “The Calling Shot”.  This would be Nader’s introduction to Arabian breeders throughout the world.  As a yearling, Nader made his showring debut garnering the title of Reserve Champion Futurity Colt in a deep class of international competition at the Egyptian Event USA.

In 2006, Nader returned to the Egyptian Event and reclaimed his title as a two year old.  It was at the Kentucky Horse Park on a humid June morning that Nader caught the eye of noted Israeli horse-woman and stud manager of Ariela Arabians, Chen Kidar.  Taking a chance on a two year old colt; one with no foals on the ground no less, was unfamiliar territory for a stud as grand as Ariela.  However, Nader possessed a certain quality that could not be ignored.

In October of 2006, Nader al Jamal made the long journey from the U.S. to Israel.  Nader will stand at stud for Ariela for the next several breeding seasons.  There he will have the opportunity to breed some of the worlds’ finest broodmares.  We eagerly await the return of Nader al Jamal to the United States and we wish him and the Ariela “family” the best during his stay.
